We are from CA. We drove to Lomita and stayed at the Eldorado Motel so we could leave our car and take a shuttle to the cruise port. The motel is ok for the price and our car is watched over while we are gone. It was less than just parking at the port. This was the shortest cruise we have ever taken and we didn't know what to expect. Embarkation was very smooth and there was no waiting. I did carry on wine and had to go to the wine table but there was no line there either. Our cabin was E 632, obstructed view. As I knew, there was really nothing obstructing the view. When we went to a tender port, there was a lot of clanking noise somewhere outside. It was not really a problem. The ship was nice and was the newest ship we have been on. It was also very crowded feeling. There was a line for coffee, pizza, ice cream and drinks. We were rarely lucky enough to get a seat anywhere on the ship out of our room. The Crown does not have a covered pool and once when we did get loungers in the shade, the band started playing and it was so loud we again left to find a quieter spot to read. We had traditional dinning and it was very nice. The service on the ship was very good. The entire ship's staff were pleasant and we did feel pampered. The food as a whole was good with a few misses thrown in. The first night dinner was a tad slow but everyone was still on a learning curve. It improved by the second night. We did not go to any shows. We love the MUTS. We felt a little bored on this cruise. We have been on cruises over a month and still never wanted to disembark. We were ready to leave after 7 days. There was not much to do during the day for us. The zumba was better than on some ships. The tv guide is on the tv now and so you can't look ahead to see when movies are repeated to plan when and where you want to view a movie. I still dislike the liquid soap and shampoo/conditioner. We never used them. Reminds me of a cheap motel.

Cabin Review

Oceanview (obstructed view)

Cabin OY

Nice cabin with a large window. The view is not obstructed, but at tender ports, there is some noise of clanking metal as they work the tenders around this cabin. There was a light outside the window which we used as a night lite. It was not super bright. This cabin is very convenient to the laundry, the back stairs and makes it easy to get to the promenade deck. Obstructed with no obstruction, a good value. Nice and quiet.
