Overview; 14 night out of Miami, Aruba, Antigua, Barbados, Bonaire, St Kitts, San Lucia, St. Maartin, and Curacao.

This is very much a positive review, however, I'll take care of my minor quibbles up front. I know there isn't an international maritime law requiring that all ships cruising the Caribbean have a reggae band on board, but there should be. There was a guy playing a steel drum accompanied by a prerecorded track, and while he was good, it just wasn't the same. The other primary poolside entertainer was a young man playing guitar and singing. He had a voice like James Taylor, which was cool, but a tad somnambulant for poolside entertainment. This is the first Caribbean cruise I've done without a killer reggae band. Not a major complaint, but still...

Anyway. Embarkation: Everyone I spoke with got an email stating that boarding would be between noon and 3, but many got on shortly after 11. We checked out of our hotel at 11, and had the cab stop so we could pick up a couple bottles of wine. We arrived just after noon. The embarkation process was a tad long, but decently organized and not too onerous. We were on the ship within 30 minutes of arrival. The buffet was hopping and quite good.

Cabin Review

Sunset Veranda

Cabin SV

Great cabin. As it is center aft, i think it's a bit wider than most. When you look at the cabins on either side it definitely looked bigger. The Eclipse cabins had nicer bathrooms, with glass doors on the shower, which makes it much nicer. Dopey me didn't realize I had storage over the bed until the last night. You don't get as much side to side motion, but if the ship is "porpoising", you feel more of that, and you can get engine vibration. When the ship is traveling slowly you may smell diesel. Sounds negative but it's great cabin and I'd gladly book it again.
