This was our first Carnival cruise, we've cruised with DCL 2x prior. Rooms were nice, ours a bit loud as we were below a club Room 6374 (however knew that before and when we were ready to sleep it was all quiet) had room 6372 for boys and 6370 for grown niece and boyfriend. We did Faster to the fun which made embarkation much easier, however our rooms were not ready when we boarded as promised. Boys are 17,15 and 14. Club for 17 year old was wonderful and he had a blast. Club for other two was mixed with younger kids and boys weren't interested. Weather was windy and seas were rocky therefore not much swimming. Younger boys were actually bored as activities on deck were limited/non existent. Sports facilities were open at very odd (11:30pm) hours and not available much of the time they wanted. Not many activities at all for families. Food was ok, dining room service was amazing, however I had a filet that was grizzly and inedible. Alternate choices were few and far between. Guy's burgers were great, however only open a few hours a day. After hour food was only pizza. They came around in dining room with shots at supper (late dining) which was somewhat strange. Soda package was only available at the bars so kids were sitting at bars, being ignored by bar tenders for soda. Attended one show which was mediocre at best. Jamaica was somewhat scary with a man approaching us begging for money with syringes saying he couldn't afford his medicine. Cozumel was also full of people begging, funneled us through stores upon arrival with hard sell employees. Cayman was very nice and safe. We had sailed to E Caribbean before and enjoyed that much more. Overall, it was OK.
