This is my 2nd cruise with Royal Caribbean, my last with them was 10 years ago on the Majesty of the Seas. I was anxious to try Royal again after so long because I wanted to try something different. This was my 5th mother/daughter (me) cruise. We tend to like the longer sailings, and this was our 3rd trip to Aruba in 4 years. Mom has been great with going on Carnival the last couple trips, but this time we did her beloved Royal Caribbean. I can say I wasn’t the only one disappointed.
Embarkation Day
This was probably the worst and most unorganized embarkation that I’ve ever done in my 10 plus cruises. We had to wait for the porters to get a spot for our bus to pull in, then get us un-loaded. While that wasn’t bad, once we got to the door of the terminal the line stopped. They had stopped letting people into the terminal. No reasons or explanations were given, we were just at a stand still for 30 minutes. Finally they let us in; the lines were still long even with all the waiting. It took about an hour from the time we got to the port till we got on the ship. It wasn’t the long lines that bothered me, it was the lack of communication on why we were stopped.
The cabin was fine.
