Sail Date: Jan 2015
Cabin: Promenade Stateroom

Went on a 3 nights cruise from Singapore to Penang (and back) in late January 2015.

Embarkation at Marina Bay Cruise Centre was smooth and quick. In fact, much quicker than the previous cruise I went on. The same efficiency was so for shore excursions at Penang and final disembarkation. This impressed me quite a bit.

Complimentary dining was above average in standard, though it does get repetitive towards the final day. My mother, who had dietary needs, found the choices during dinner somewhat difficult. Tried Chops Grill (for additional payment) on the final night and that was the best meal of the trip. Service throughout all meals was both attentive and personal.

Promenade Stateroom

Chose the promenade stateroom both for the price and the interesting feature of it overlooking the main shopping promenade. It's a little cramped, but otherwise decent. No issue of noise since we were four floors above, and the pub right down below was not opened. Best advantage is how you get a comfortable view, albeit with muffled sounds, of the street parades. Convenient if you don't wish to squeeze with other passengers during these parades.
