Have been cruising with Carnival for years each cruise is more disappointing Apon arriving to the ship (1:30 pm) we found no parking and had to circle both parking lots to find parking ( event at the queen Mary) . After checking in ( VIP ) we were told which direction to go and we were on our own after that ( so much for VIP) . Knowing that we didn't have to stand in the HUGE line we by passed it and went straight on board . Our cabin #6115 had a balcony ( larger than most other balconies on the ship due to location "forward"with 4 chairs) we had an adjoining room for our daughter and her friend #6109 ( large inside) convieniant but "NO" lock for privacy ! I would stay in this cabin again without the adjoining option . Quiet as far as location , depending on cabin occupants above and below . I noticed walking down the hall that the ship creaked around #6185 which was noisy . There is a nice adult pool area ( Serenity deck ) although people tend to drop their towel off to hold the best seats early . The service at the Bacchus dining room was SLOW , at dinner the first night it took 1 hour to get food , we preordered wine that took 45 mins one night to receive and they didn't have the order for the second time and had to go to our cabin for the confirmation we got in our cabin that day . We thought if we went to the dining room for brunch the food would be hot but it was no warmer than the buffet . The food was nothing special . It felt like the ship was short staffed maybe due to upcoming dry dock 3/2015 . Been cruising since "94"and it just isn't like it used to be , we have also cruised with RCCL, Disney, Costa, NCL , Princess and Variety Cruise Line
