On this cruise I requested a wheel chair to get me on and off the ship. I was surprised as to how acommedating the crew were and how easy it was to obtain the wheel chair. Of course as soon as I got on board I had to put my name in for a chance for any of the free stuff, at the spa, and of course I won a $100.00. The next day, instead of going ashore I elected to have a facial. Let me tell you this young lady had magic fingers. I thought I was going to start snoring. I was so relaxed. On the second day of our cruise passengers had an opportunity to put their name in for a chance to eat dinner with the captain the following evening. What the heck, I was feeling lucky, and again we were lucky and chosen. The dinner was lovely and the other guests at the table were fascinating to talk to. The captain made everyone feel at ease, and invited everyone to the bridge the following day. The captain was so proud of his crew and entire staff on board. You could tell how passionate he was about his job and the company he worked for. It was refreshing to see how well everyone worked together. and how fond they were of their captain. Like other Norwegian cruises the food was great, the shows wonderful and the crew gracious. I was very relaxed and would go on another one in a heart beat. I just did not worry about some of the problems other cruise lines experienced. Just like the beginning of the cruise a wheel chair was provided for me without any problem, and who was at the end of the ramp to wish us good bye and safe journey but the captain and his crew.
