This was our second time cruising so I have only a modest base of experience for what follows. On balance this was a good cruise that featured solid service, a variety of amenities, and decent food.

Embarkation was efficient. The entire process took about 45 minutes. Our room was already prepared when we completed that process at 2:00 pm. The luggage followed at around 5:00 pm.

Disembarkation was ok, but for some reason communication was off; there were two lines to get out, and one of them was packed, while the other was rather 'unadvertised'. BTW our flight back was not until night so we had reserved a rental car to have for the day. There was no signage to tell you where to wait for the rental car shuttle (our porter knew; nice guy), and the rental car co. Avis, was hopelessly inadequate when it came to dealing with the mass of people who showed up to get their reserved cars. We stood in line for an hour. Not cool but really not related to the cruise.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BD

The cabin was modern and well appointed with a flat panel TV, two twin beds pushed together and a kind of slide out day bed. We travelled with a six year old and the slide out day bed was barely adequate for her; don't know how you would put a 15 year old goliath on one. The balcony was fine but there are lifeboats one deck below which causes a minor view obstruction. The layout of the bathroom was awkward and non-functional. There is a shower stall and a separate toilet stall both with frosted glass surrounds; a curtain separates the bathroom area from the rest of the cabin. The kid loved to see through the glass to watch us; kind of off-putting. Also odours tended to come up from the toilet into the toilet stall; it was not pleasant.
