Don't use Princess if you plan a conference! First start with the lack of transportation of your conference materials to your conference rooms. Don't pay a porter - they can only take you to the front door of TSA! The, plan on having a minimum of 3 people - one to stay with the boxes at the front door, one to stay with the ones upstairs where you can check-in, and one to shuttle everything by hand! Once you get checked in - you have to shuttle manually thru TSA scanning. Then you have to decide if you want to wait in line and one box at a time bring them onto the ship, or wait for a luggage cart to become available (thanks Francesca!) - we only had to wait 45 minutes - but we were able to get them to wheel our stuff to the conference room.
The fun doesn't stop there! We had 2 real conference rooms - and had to use a dining room at the OTHER end of the ship for our third conference room! This really inhibited networking amongst conference members.
Conference Day 1 - we had to provide breaks to our attendees to go out to a bar to get water. Day 2 (at sea day) the rolling of the ship was so bad - that we took many breaks - and then at 3:45 people came into our session that were not part of our group! By 4 - we were cleaning up - and the group after us was hustling us out! Princess should NEVER have booked 2 different groups with no break in between! Our hosted parties were very nice, but there was no "security" at the door to ensure that only our party was in the event. The food for lunch was mediocre - dinner was nicer, but the wait staff was not up to par (perhaps because we already pre-paid for gratuities) - we definitely won't be doing another conference on a ship anytime soon! I have to think other cruise lines are more accommodating.
Cabin was clean and nice - I like the layout better than the Carnival/RC layouts.
