This was a very different cruise experience for us. This was our first time on such a small ship. In hindsight we should have thought about booking this cruise when we were taking our kids (18 and 20). It seems that this ship is set up for an older crowd. We are in our mid 40s and had a great time. With that being said it was our least favorite RCI ship, but gave us some of the best experiences we have had on a ship.

THE PORT:

In previous reviews i have seen some very negative reviews of the port and the boarding process. This was NOT the case with us at all. We arrived at the port around 9:40 to beat the crowd. We waited outside the doors until 9:55 and were let inside the terminal building. We went straight to the greeting desks had our photos taken and were sitting in the chairs waiting to board by 10:00. I think we waited there for about 20 mins and they called for boarding. As we booked an owners suite on this cruise we got on board right away. In fact our son was literally the first person on board. We went into the Centrum and bought our drink package and had a cocktail in hand from the R Bar within 10 mins.

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite

Cabin OS

Our cabin 8001 was amazing. It is an owners suite on the port side right behind the bridge port wing. Every morning during a docking we would go outside to watch the docking process and the officers on the bridge would wave good morning. The room had two televisions and a bathroom the size of and inside stateroom with a jacuzzi tub, a glass shower, and a double sink. Our room steward Antonio was incredible. We also had access to the concierge lounge with MJ who was also amazing.
