We're in our late 50s. Have cruised many times and have avoided Carnival due to the 'party boat' reputation. Chose it for the first of a B2B as we were treating two of our kids (19 and 21) to their first cruise vacation. Thankfully, we had the 2nd part of the B2B on Celebrity.

We had a fabulous cabin (#8448) - although somewhat noisy due to being under the pool area, the balcony was huge (wrap around) with lots of chairs/loungers. The cabin itself was very large. All this expected as I had researched the cabin. And, we paid much extra for this (well, not the noise part!). Our cabin steward was stellar. He ranked in the top of 9 cruises with other lines. Was concerned that the walk to the stairs/elevator might be a problem, but it was quite short. No complaints there.

That's pretty much where the good times end.

Premium Vista Balcony

Cabin 9C

Great Cabin - extremely spacious balcony and very spacious cabin. That's what we paid extra for :)Some noise from pool deck directly above, during the day, but if you spend a lot of time on your balcony, you won't notice it so much! Nap time in the cabin can be problematic, however. Night time is fine.
