As this was done as a part of a B2B, we did not get any information beforehand of how the handling of this should be done. That said, we could not plan for an excursion leaving at a certain time, since we did not know when we could get our new sea pass cards, and when we could leave the ship. Also it seemed that the request of keeping our old sea pass cards, was something hard to follow, and we got erroneous answers from the staff handling this (you can get them this afternoon was the answer, and it was totally wrong). After some complaining to guest services, diamond lounge concierge, we managed to secure our old cards, but I know lots of others who did not have this opportunity.

Anyway, if you are doing a B2B, I would suggest that an excursion should not start before 9.30, if you want to have time on your side. We got some wonderful few hours to explore Singapore, by using the MRT , which has a station near the cruise terminal called Marina South Pier.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

When you book a GS or higher you expect that little extra. Not just a JR suite, with more space and some more perks. So the 1264 GS stateroom attendant had some years of experience, but still forgot that we wanted ice all days, preferably both in the morning and evening. That was not the gold & anchor standard. Also since this was a part of a B2B, we thought that the stateroom would be reset to its original state on the new cruise. This did not happen, i.e minibar not refilled and checked. Amenities was not restocked in the bathroom, or toothbrush cups and soap holder. Reason for this we heard was that the state room attendant was not allowed to touch our stuff. But he did move other things around. So anyway not a fresh restart. One thing we got a restart on, was our wardrobe doors. On the first cruise of the B2B, we called maintenance twice in order to make sure that all of the wardrobe doors closed properly. This lead them to replacing lots of hinges, adding screws. making bigger holes etc. But they did not adjust them properly. So shortly after the second cruise was started, the hinges was getting loose (because the doors was touching each other and lifting them out of place) and we had to call maintenance again. (And a GS wardrobe door is quite a heavy piece of wood, you don't want that on your head). This time they read the IKEA instructions of hinges properly and managed to adjust them to work. And this time without leaving smudge marks. Also you should check repairs in the wardrobes, since in 1264 they had replaced the wardrobe door stops with a DIY construction, which meant that the stop it self pokes into the ward robe (possibly against your cloths), and not folding along the door as it should. Also one thing about 1264, it is located under the solarium, but they do move around sun loungers in the early morning between 4-6am, so this is sounds which could wake you up if you are a light or normal sleeper. The balcony of GS is quite shallow, and does not have a normal reclining sun lounger. Bed is rather hard, and if you like a softer bed, ask for extra foam mattresses. So all in all, 1264 is a roomy stateroom, lots of space for cloths, nice couch , armchairs, TV (with a lack to watchable TV channels though(why have) but could be much better maintained and serviced.
