We cruised with NCL Epic on 02-08-2015 thru 02-15-2015. 1st of all lets start with embarktion. We decided early on that we wanted to get Posh passes, these are special passes that allow you to go up to an area with your sea pass card. If you do not want to fight over lounge chair and be near all the noise I highly recommend these passes. To get them you have to be to the port very early and be one of the first ones on board. Once on board get down to guest services on level 5. They only sell 20 of these passes to passengers who do not have Haven rooms. The cost of these passes is 59.00 per person and well worth it, there is a bar right there and no kids are allowed, granted there is no pool but truthfully the pools on the Epic are really not much to write home about. In general the embarktion process went very smoothly they seem to have that down. Once on board and getting our passes, we decided to grab a bite to eat in the buffet, we found a seat with no problem and the food was always hot, granted we only ate at the buffett 3 times during our stay but we never had any problems. We decided to go to the Manhatten room each night except for one when we decided to go to Cagney's. We did make reservations for each night for supper, it really is a painless and easy way to make sure that you have a table. In the Manhanten room each night they had different options but also they had the some entrees that were always available. The food was always served hot and fast we never had any complaints about timing or our servers they were all very gracious and courteous, The only thing that we really miss is getting to know you same wait staff every nite and having that interaction with them. Cagney's was awesome once again, food was great everything was served fast and hot.

Never once did we find it hard to find a drink as so many other's have complained about. If we want excellent service by a great person go up to the Spice H20 and find Ceaser, what a great person and he will take care of you, the only problem up there is it is a smoking area and if you do not like the smell, it kind of sucks.

Our room was just fine not great but fine. Storage was in abundance. The room really is in need of some updating but really if you think about it with as many passengers that have traveled on this ship in the last five years or so, I can see why it is going in to be re-furbished soon. Our steward Marck was ok, not great he did his job so-so. At one point he must have broken a glass in our room and did not get it completely cleaned up and I had to call housekeeping to re-clean the room, they were very fast getting to my room and getting it done and very concerned about my well-being ( for fear I had injured myself on the broken glass) Overall, the cruise was a good one, we enjoyed ourselves and I would cruise NCL again without any hesitations.
