We just returned last night from a 5 night Western Caribbean cruise on the BEAUTIFUL NCL PEARL with stops in Cozumel and Belize. Our party consisted of four 18 year old boys and their moms on a "Spring Break/ Senior Trip". This ship is absolutely beautiful! Everything is new and sparkling clean. I was a little concerned initially about the size of the room (inside stateroom with 3 women sharing)...but after unpacking, my concerns disappeared. These rooms are designed by a genius! We all had plenty of room in the closets, drawers and shelves for our things. The bathroom was fantastic! Great water pressure in the shower and plenty of hooks and shelves to put things on. One person could shower and then put on makeup and dry and curl hair in the stateroom while another got into the shower. The beds were very comfortable with cushy white down comforters and two pillows on each bed. I was in the upper pull-down bed because I'm the smallest. It was a little firmer than the lower beds, but I slept like a baby every night. The food is excellent. We ate at Cagneys and Teppanyaki. Both were very good...but the food and the service was so good in the main restaurants (Summer Palace and Indigo) that I probably wouldn't bother going to the other restaurants with the surcharges the next time I cruise. The desserts

(especially the souffle's and the chocolate decadence) were fantastic!! The Summer Garden Buffet had a good selection of dishes for breakfast and lunch. There were always several flavors of ice cream available. I wouldn't suggest buying a soda card unless you drink A LOT of soda. They only charge $1.75 per can and you would have to drink lots of soda to get your moneys worth on the card, especially if you leave the ship for any length of time on port days. The pools were great! There is an adult pool separate from the main pool and it was very relaxing. The main pool has a water slide...FUN! It can be difficult to find a lounge chair on the main pool level on sea days, but there were always loungers available on the upper sun decks. The live musicians pool-side were excellent! Lots of activities...Ping Pong, Basketball, Golf, Rock Climbing, Chess, Casino, Bowling, etc... The shows in the evening were very entertaining. I loved the comedian/magician we saw on the last night. We had several pictures taken by the photographers. I thought the prices were very reasonable and the photos came in a nice display folder/frame with a picture of the Pearl on the opposite side. I bought two and would have loved to buy more but needed to watch the budget. :) We went to Paradise Beach in Cozumel. It was nice with lots of activities available. It was really crowded, but we expected that during

Spring Break week. We went to Senor Frogs for drinks and a late lunch before shopping. What a blast! The boys loved it and so did we Moms. We booked the Barrier Reef Snorkel and Beach Break excursion through NCL for our stop in Belize. This was the highlight of our trip! The snorkeling was good, Bannister Island was a slice of heaven, and the party boat (unlimited rum punch) was a BLAST! The crew was terrific... very professional and a lot of fun. I loved this cruise and can't wait to book another NCL Cruise with my husband. Poor guy got left behind working while we partied! :)
