Sail Date: Feb 2015
Cabin: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

We've been on 2 other cruise lines before this Norwegian Getaway cruise, and I will try to stay brief, compare, and cover all bases here:

EMBARKATION: Quick, easy. and smooth. Onboard in a flash.

CABIN: We chose a mid-ship mini-suite with the larger bathroom, upgraded shower with rain-shower head and body jets, double sink, etc.. We MUCH enjoyed this compared to the claustrophobic ones we were used to! There was still "motion" felt during the sail which we were not really TOO bothered by. On Deck 9, we were above The Mojito Bar, and we DID hear noise, music, etc. from there at night, but it was pretty much finished my midnight. It also seemed to be where some of the crew would meet and unwind at night as well, so some of that was heard as well. The balconies ARE small, as most reviews mention, it is probably 3'x8', but we were OK with that, it was about being able to access our own private view plus to merely HEAR the ocean at night. Some nights there was a negative pressure from that, and there was a whistling created, and it seemed to emanate from an air duct/shaft inside the wall near the bed. Door closed for those nights! Coffee maker and hair dryer, safe, mini-bar, and TV with minimal channels in room.
