After reading so many poor reviews for the MSC Divina, we headed off on our cruise determined to take things as they came and not to let little things bother us. Parking at the port of Miami is very expensive but not the fault of MSC and so we just swallowed and paid the bill! Short walk from the parking garage to the ship. The embarkation procedure was fine, we had to wait about 20 minutes for general boarding, but soon we were on the ship eating a late lunch at the buffet--- beautiful Italain cheeses, proscuitto, and fresh breads! We were happy!

We had an inside cabin which was certainly comparable to others we have had. It was clean , comfortable and the A/C worked well. Our cabin steward was fairly invisible most of the cruise. But when we needed things, we left a note and received them. No problem! The bed was firm but I like that and the pillows which we had heard so much negativity about were different but just fine. We slept very well with them.

We enjoyed the food in the buffet but learned to really explore because there was an interesting ethnic corner way in the back which had wonderful Indian, Thai and Spanish food. We each were able to find foods that we really enjoyed! The croissants were lovely and warm each mornings. The coffee the best was the best I have ever had in a cruise ship buffet and they also had hot milk available so I could make a latte each day. I tried the cheese omelettes and went back for one several days. Lunch has the biggest selection and we always found something interesting to eat, especially the pasta selections and the roasts which were individually cut for each person. Dinner in the buffet was more limited than lunch but still lots to choose from.

Cabin Review

Cabin 1

Nice cabin. Plenty of room for two of us. Lots and lots of storage. Room under beds for our suitcases. Good shower with lots of hot water. Located aft and close to the doors outside at the back of the ship on both the port and starboard sides. It provided a wonderful spot to watch sailaways or just the sea usually all by ourselves!
