Norwegian Breakaway Cruise Review by Micclay
- Sail Date: February 2015
- Destination: Nowhere
- Cabin Type: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony
The room is somewhat smaller than most lines & the balcony was very small but the bathroom with a large with full size shower with one large sink and 2 faucets. Plenty of room for storage.
Food- We went to Moderno which is a specialty restaurant Brazilian style, It was very good. We ate at the Taste dining room for dinner and breakfast. Food was as good as other lines. We loved that we could get a table for two. Service was excellent. My coffee cup was always filled. We had lunch at the buffet and it was typical. A plus is that they offered real ice cream, not soft serve.
Entertainment- We went to Rock of Ages and thought it was great. It was better than the usual shows on cruises. We enjoyed other venues such as bands, singer and piano player, dulling piano players etc.
Drinks- the cost was a bit higher than most cruise ships but there was a good poor.
Service- It was great. Everyone was attentive, friendly and helpful. I had read on Cruise Critic just; the opposite and we did not find that at all.
Negative- smoking in the casino but all cruises have this issue. The casino was jumping and lots of fun.
Since this was a 2 day cruise, there was a party crowd. We met lots of people and had a great time.
Departure - We waited until 9:30am and the lines were long. Get off on the back of the ship otherwise you have to walk from front to back outside and it was quite cold.
We had so much fun we are thinking of doing this again next year.
