The Grandeur of the Seas may be an older RCCL ship, but she has been well maintained. She is a comfortable sized ship with convenient access to all public areas. The staff was dedicated to disinfecting the ship as there was a virus scare the previous week; all was well with our group of passengers. The entire crew worked exceptionally hard through the duration of the cruise to maintain the "Purell" touch as a disinfectant. Our steward maintained our cabin and everything was always in place in a timely manner. Our late seating waiter was named Melroy and he was one of the best we have encountered in over 43 cruises, He was a dedicated professional who found time to entertain and humor our large table without compromising service. Our lead waiter Paul was involved nightly at a level we have not seen before. Paul was committed to keeping all the cogs of seamless service meshing in both the dining room and the buffet. Entertainment was smooth and was always supported by cruise director Mitch. The shops seemed a bit thin on merchandise but that may be because of the virus scare??? But I did manage to spend. The outbound seas were smooth and flawless; the inbound seas back to Baltimore were very rough for about 36-48 hours but we managed to weather the "storm" without getting sick. The stops were just long enough to enjoy the sun and take a few walks around; we usually do not engage in ship shore excursions in the Caribbean. The dining options were adequate; the filet ordered from Chops Steak House was not as tasty as expected. Both pools were quite chilly during the cruise - even the inside Solarium pool. We liked it and will do it again in the future as it is a "drive to" port for us thereby negating air expenses.

Cabin M

We were deck 2 inside and it was an awesome place to be during the rough seas! Room and storage space was adequate. Shower small but doable.
