We took the ‘Jewels of the Caribbean’ tour around the Windward Islands on MSY ‘Windstar’. The ship is well equipped. Cabins are on two decks and all are alike and of similar size, except the Owner's Suite. They offer generous space, with a large bed, a sitting area, and ample storage space. Passengers were all over 40, possibly over 50, mainly North American couples, with a handful of British and other European couples. Everyone was very sociable. The food is high quality and portions are generous. The wine list is extensive, and the 'house' wines are excellent. There was a very high staff to to passenger ration (about 1:1), and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Shore excursions are well organised and interesting.

The only issue we had was with the so called 'Premium alcohol package' about which advance information is completely inadequate. Moreover, there appears little rationale for what is or is not included. A glass of wine from the range of house wines, costing up to $12, is included; a glass of Sherry charged at $8 is not. Whisky and Gin included; Brandy is not. Check details before you sign up. On the other hand, the unlimited laundry package is great value.
