Two friends. Retired . My second cruise. Attracted by this cruise because went to places such as Greenland which are hard to get to, and back from, by yourself. Called "Viking Passage". Started in Copenhagen, Denmark; up coast of Norway to Bergen, supposed to go to Shetlands (boat skipped it), Torshavn, Faroe Islands, Iceland (originally two ended up being three days), Prince George Sound and two stops in Greenland, St. Anthony, Newfoundland, Canada, St. John's, Newfoundland, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, ending in New York City.

This ship is a great way to see Greenland for people who are not hikers and want just a couple of days. It is also a good way to get to L'Anse Aux Meadows (port of St. Anthony, Newfoundland). It is also a good way to see places such as Faroe Islands which again are hard to get to, interesting to see, but would not want to spend more than a day in. Cabin very well organized, cabin steward great, but service at meals in main dining room just adequate, ship excursions variable, and layout of ship in some ways poor.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean-View Stateroom

Very well organized with lots of storage space. Only problem was very little light near the beds. Light near the window and television (where did not need it) and not near "pillow" end of bed, where did. Cabin steward very good. When we had stormy weather, noticed felt motion of boat considerably less in our cabin on Deck One than in Lido (Deck 9).Cabin between two sets of elevator, near where Main Reception Desk was. Conveniently located for exiting boat, going to lectures, or to Dining Room. Generally not noisy.
