Princess has become our favorite cruise line. We always get great service in both the dining room, lounges and cabin attendant. I do however wish that during their new guest Captain Circle welcome they would give new cruisers some do's and don'ts. Still have people showing up in the main dining room in shorts and t-shirts and people that want to stop on the stairs.
Booked our own pre-cruise hotel. Stayed at the Ramada at Zhongshan Park. Hotel was clean and comfortable, though not located in the central part of Singapore. Cab fare from the hotel to he terminal was about S$20.00. Arrived in Singapore Tuesday afternoon and boarded Friday. Really need one more day to really see Singapore. Had many places we saw on our tours that we would have like to have gone back to.
Embarkation was a breeze. Arrived at the cruise terminal around 1000 and think we were starting the check in about 1030. I think the fact that they run four, seven and 11 day cruises off the same ship help in keeping new passenger numbers down. They said we only had 1000 people starting on the day we did.
Located mid-ship almost half way between mid-ship stair and laundry room. Room was good size could actually move around without tripping over each other. Ocean view only provided light into the room. This cabin was located right at the bracket for the lifeboat, so that really obstructed the view.
