We booked a cruise on the Allure for our 30th anniversary. Typically cruise the Freedom Class ships on RC but wanted to do something different. We thought it would be crowded and full of kids, but pleasantly surprised at the open areas and lack of lines for things (to include elevators:) We had a ocean balcony room which was smaller than the Oceanview balcony on the Freedom class but well appointed. Loved the night light in the bathroom. The ship is BEAUTIFUL! From the art pieces everywhere to Central Park and the Boardwalk, there are so many small details that amaze and delight the visual palate. I could have spent several days just walking around looking for things. We loved that there were several places to eat breakfast. Ate at a different place each day. Each had a different feel. If you want omelets made to order then go to the Wipe Out café or the dinning room. Bagels made to order at the Park Café. The shows were over the top, some of the best we have experienced on a ship. Don't miss Blue Planet. The Aqua Theater was the site for several activities and the Aqua Show was very good. There were so many things to do, that if you could not find something to do then there is something wrong with you.....we stayed on ship two of the port days and had a great time. We found the staff pretty attentive overall. Stateroom attendant was great and most everyone was smiling most of the time. The only disappointment was the dinning room for dinner. Our wait staff was fine, but the food luke warm at best. Not as good as the food we have experienced in the past on RC. We did not do any specialty restaurants and we did have late seating. Next time will plan to use the specialty restaurants or maybe eating earlier would help the food be hot. We only planned to do this ship once so we could say we did it, but was pleased with the entire experience and would go on it again.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D8

Liked some the additions made to the room with the Oasis class. Smaller than Freedom Class balcony rooms. Did not like the closet by the bed. Learned you can ask when you reserve which way your room is configured. LOVED that we were on deck 8 and Central Park was right around the corner!
