Colombo to Singapore

This was my first cruise, ever, and having read previous reviews I was somewhat apprehensive. The conclusion I came to is that reviews are often written by pedants - as on Trip Advisor with which I am more familiar. Yes there were a few hiccoughs along the way but the basics were just great.

We selected this cruise because we wanted to try a different style of travel to the usual 'flashpacker' and the destinations were of interest. The company advertising said that the cruise was aimed at those who are interested in the places they visit. At the time of booking there was a good deal by way of reduced price and we were able to select a cabin to suit our needs. We ended up on Belvedere Deck in a balcony cabin. Loved it. Large (twin beds, bed side tables, large cupboard with fridge, small 2 seater lounge, coffee table and chair) with masses of storage and a fair sized bathroom. Read more
