Where do I begin. Firstly my husband and I consider ourselves rather experienced cruisers and typically have a positive outlook on everything in general. We were looking forward to this cruise with great expectations as set out by RCCL. We love being on the ships and enjoy the ships as much as our ports of call. The Quatum of the Seas did not deliver. This was a floating fiasco from the start with two exceptions. The good 1. RCCL had to purchase the rights for the full 2.5 hr Mama Mia entertainment. This was very well done. We greatly enjoyed this show so much so that my hubby was even dancing as we left!!! And in the 270 room ... The day show and night shows were simply amazing. If you are a tech geek you will especially enjoy researching what goes into these computerized shows. Simply amazing.. 2. The room is as expected just newer and better bathroom layout and size. My hubby is a good 56" across his chest and can never get a good shower but this time he fit. Also the storage was wonderfully done. A lot of drawers and storage on either side of the bed. We didn't have to dig or bend down too much to find what we needed The bad There is actually too much to write so I will do an overview. 1.The Royal IQ app..did not function as required so managing our reservations and booking was impossible via iPad. The tv system also was a failure 2.All dinner reservations were cancelled and or rebooked for different times somehow once we boarded. (As I check and print everything off just in the event of such failures so we were forceful about being accommodated as we had my printouts. Most everyone we spoke to had issues with their reservations 3. Boarding was a nightmare, even with status everyone showed up early and pushed violently all the way to our room. Once there we were safe! 4. Elevators constantly broke down 5. This is the only cruise ever that we can say that ALL staff were rude and not accommodating at all this includes the stores, restaurants (free and purchased ) and the customer service and the crown and anchor folks. Truly we are happy people and love to see the best in everything but they were clearly struggling. We left one restaurant as the waiter was so rude as he took our order and we waited one hour and the food just never came....we spoke to the manager who said he would make it right and took out order again and we waited another 30 mins and then left as there was so sign of our waiter or that manager again! 6. the ship shook so much for most of the trip , one night I actually fell out of the bed from the vibrations. We had to put glasses in towels and bottles on the floor so they would not fall during the night and rattle. We we on the 12th floor aft. Something was wrong with the asipods no doubt. And we saw divers in San Juan at the back of the ship but no mention during the cruise of any issues 7. room service has a cost of what they told us "hot" food which made no sense but as an example I could get tea or coffee free but eggs would cost $2.75 each but toast were free?! Also you had to call. The tv didn't work to order as it was intended as there was no paper to hang on the door 8. my hubby usually buys me some gold and/or diamonds on the ships as a souvenir for instance on the inaugural of Oasis he bought me Sofia Fiori 1.5 carat Victoria gold ring...beautiful!!!!..this cruise we could not get any service And there was a Sofia Fiori trunk show....my hubby asked to speak to the manager of the shops and she said that we were not typical of the people who spend much money and the sales people need to make a quota each day. Here was my hubby with over $10K in mind to spend and we left with $0. First time ever. I was not happy but didn't blame him 9. North Star ,...we waited in line twice. Once for up to 45 minutes to be sent away each time. Why? Because the North Star does not function in extreme weather. We left New Jersey it froze and in the south ..it was too hot! We saw a group get stuck and they were up there for at least 30 mins. We just got tired for standing in the sun so we left 10. booked iFly and you are given a window of 1 hour to show up and wait your turn my husband waited over 1.5 hrs and then gave up waiting 11. Smokers..they get some sort of ledge outdoors to smoke while underway. It is outside but since we had a balcony we wanted to sit on our deck but could only smell smoke. It was horrific and we are non smokers and we were never told of this "feature" upon booking. So beware. 12. This is the 1st cruise where most of the people ..meaning other cruisers were not real happy types. We usually chat up folks in elevators or by the pool or in line ups for pictures but this is the first cruise we leave with no new friends! Folks were cranky ! 13. We were watching the bionic bar and some combo of drinks was requested and somehow the drink lid did not close and it flew everywhere and got my husband (I hid behind him). He was full of sticky mix and had to go to the room to clean up. Again no crew was present to apologize or anything. We even went to speak to customer service who said "sorry!" That's it. Not even any chocolate covered strawberries to make us feel better 14 pictures. Usually we purchase as they are so well done. This ship was not able to handle the production of the pictures. We ordered 3 days in and were told to go see them on the last day at 8am for pick up! The day we get off the ship....they also could not process any request for smaller or larger than the 8x10 size and there were no frames that said quantum of the seas available...this was day 3! 15 paid dining. Beware chops grill has a view of the life boats. Ridiculously poor service. We left before the meal was over as my husbands Neal came right away and mine now until he was done eating and mine was cold! The hot tea was cold.....we didn't stay for desert. Asked for refund and was denied 16 since I don't drink we get the package with the drink cup. There were no drink cups until we got to San Juan. So for 4 days we were going from bar to bar to get water in small bottles and small glasses of ginger ale.....we've since tried to get a credit but to no avail. This was no excusable frankly. By day 3 wee were tired of this, since I drink a lot of water and the ordered the water package which typically you get Evian delivered to your room and they were out! Lose lose lose. 17 disembarkation was flawless as we decided to keep our luggage and leave on our own something we've never done and assumed there would be problem there too! I could go on and on. These may seem like silly little things but that's what makes or breaks the experience at least for us. It's all in the details I realize he ship is going to Asia but they are building a replica and we will never go on this class again. We are currently booked for Oasis as they will make it all good again!!

The good

The bad
There is actually too much to write so I will do an overview.
