WE flew in to FLL and used SAS transport to Miami. Very efficient transport to our hotel in Miami, Hampton Inn in downtown. Hotel was in a good location, great room, breakfast included, drink tickets, and convenient to shops, restaurants.

Took their shuttle to Ship next day, easy check in, not crowded, and boarded the Getaway. Took a few days to navigate the ship, and utilized the touch screens to find open reservations and navigate with their step by step directions. The decks 6-7-8 were full of activities, and dining rooms, shops, casino, and bars. We enjoyed the outside promenade with the seating and bars.

The trip was very rocky, and rough at times. The pool deck was crowded, and with one pool, it was tough to get a lounge chair in the sun, but plenty of seating under the shaded area. Of course, people were "saving" chairs, as early as 7am.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

Cabin OA

The room was large, efficient , nice entryway, bathroom on the right, and then a closet, only shelves for clothes, no drawers, on the left was a desk area, and mini fridge. Only 2 outlets on the desk. Two small shelves on side of desk, a flatscreen TV on the right, and a large picture window with a great view. Very roomy cabin. Fifth deck is quiet, cabin near elevator so not much walking, near the aft, no motion noted with rough seas, Long walk to the gangway for ports, but very wide corridor, much wider than other decks.
