First (and probably last) Carnival cruise. Food-often arrived lukewarm at dinner, sitdown breakfast omlet was equal to a budget hotel freebee, bagel overtoasted, buffet lines were long but food was better. Alternate dining at grill was excellent as was the deli. Refused to pay more for the steak restaurant although many said it was a five star meal. Service was below average. Slow service, waiters seemed confused as to who was getting which meal, no replacements were offered for unsatisfactory meals (served cold or just a poor coice in trying something new). The uneaten food was silently removed and the dessert menus provided. We were unable to get the "anytime dining" option and were told that option was filled even even though we had been waitlisted on booking. First out of 12 cruises we had assigned times...never again. They had dancing waiters and "guest participation" for a song right in the middle of every dinner...once would have been enough.
The ship was great as far as layout and convenience to everything, two pools, large outdoor movie screen which made it perfect for the Super Bowl and they closed the dome for comfort watching on the pool chairs.
Entertainment was disappointing..too many big dance/singing productions and comedy acts in the bar area. Casino had a great band. On/off ship was easy and flawless. Staff does not like to answer questions and we were often told to check the tv in the room for information.
