We were disappointed with our cruise on the Adventure of the Seas. This was not our first cruise with Royal Caribbean and did not meet our expectations. First off, the weather was great, the arrival and getting on the ship was smooth. One of the advantages of cruising with RC is that when you move up the ladder with several cruises is that you gain preferred access on the sailing date. However, there were a few items of that we were disappointed with on the cruise. First off, our stateroom attendant was below average, the best example of this was we ran out of shampoo one morning while my wife was showering, not a way for us to start the day. On the first port day, room service was an hour late, and for those with excursions, well it was a rush to make the trip. That evening, we had requested a table for two, and we were seated at a table for 8. I that evening reminded the steward of our request and was told that it would be taken care of. The next evening we were once again at the same table when I spoke to the same supervisor he did not remember me. Finally, the next night we were seated at a table for two and I guess punished as it was right in front of the servers station. On a number of occasions, the activities staff was late and unprepared. The discounts that are provided electronically were not correct, we had to check with the Guest Relations desk a number of times to correct our bill, and they did not speak English and finally just gave up on some of our discounts.

There was to be an on board barb-a-que on our last sea day, we were told it would be at noon, when we checked it was move to 12:30, at 2:30 we gave up and ate in the WindJammer. On other RC ships we have purchased soda packages, however on this ship they did not have the automatic dispenses as on other ships and people would have to wait in line at one of the extremely busy bars for a refill. We noticed that there were not as may passengers with drink cups as there had been on other ships. Disembarking this ship was a mess, the staff did not communicate to the passengers, we were in the hall, back in the waiting area, in the hall, some people were heard to say they'd never cruise with RC again. They do this every week, you would think this was one thing they could get right.
