We are a couple who have cruised multiple times with 4 different cruise lines. This was our first NCL cruise and we rate it as our worst cruise experience, though it was not all bad.
The good: Best gym ever on a ship. Equipment was either new or regularly updated and cleaned. Water cooler, sani wipes, lots of clean towels plus refrigerated towels...a nice touch. The windows were unobstructed (we were on a Princess Alaska cruise where they had "cutesy" partial window coverings over the top 1/4 of each window forcing folks on all the equipment to lean sideways to see outside) providing great views. The internet cafe/library was also nice...a quiet respite although we found it unusual that the books were in locked cabinets opened only at certain hours.
The ship is dated and needs some help. We saw several places of the hallway carpet baseboard torn away and loose. There was dust and grime on various places in the public areas. The buffet windows have shelving below them (just below table level) that looked as if it is never cleaned. Our bathroom tile floor and shower floor had many dark/black spots on the grout between tiles (mold?). The tile in our bathroom was also dusty.
Okay cabin. Bathroom a little bigger than on some other ships but had issues (see overall review).
