This was my husband and I's first cruise. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary. After doing much research, I guess I made a right choice on Ships, since it was Carnival's Newest Ship. I was GREAT!! I also did a fairly good job on picking a room. I decided to pay a little extra for a room with a window. We loved being able too look out all the time. It was nice and private, and it would be vary hard for anyone to look in even at the different ports we went to. We REALLY like having the second bathroom!!! It make things so much faster. Carnival Cruises are definitely meant for the middle class. If you are expecting really fancy meals or room Carnival is not for you. If you want to have fun and are not bothered by happy and a little noisy people the you will lots of fun. We ran into a few old stodgy, I would guess rich Germans, who were having a hard time on the elevator with us did not seem to be having to much fun. I think they need to find another cruise line. Other then that, everyone seem to be having a real good relaxing time. After finding some great servers the 3rd night we went back to the same area for dinner every night.

One of the 2 things we had problems with was 1. Coming back on board after our excursions it was hard to get something to eat until supper. They closed the buffet area after lunch, I guess around 2:00 pm. And the only things that were open were the Pizza and Taco bars. And then when we had to be back on board at 3:00 - 3:30 pm the lines for those 2 places were VERY VERY VERY LONG!!! And they didn't stars supper until 5:30 pm. They had a lot of hungry unhappy people on board. I also heard they were going to change that soon, because so many people were complaining out it. The first day we just ordered room service, but of course we had to wait a long time for that. 2. Some of the Decks, at least Deck 2, toward the back of the Ship smelled like sewer. I was really glad our room was toward the front of the ship.

The Ovation Hall was sort of over us, but we didn't get to much noise from it thankfully. Overall we had a really great time. Can't wait to save up some more money and cruise again.
