The cabin was ok ,but that was all that was ok.The food quality was very poor the fish served in the water front dinning room covered in a sauce was very dry and inedible,the only thing on the menue that was ok was the rump steak.The promotion was for an Australia Day Party in Sydney Harbour sounded great so we joined a group of 20.The weather was poor (but what the heck) no one can control that.There was no aussie BBQ? the music was JJJ play list no classic Aussie Rock until about 2pm after 3 hours of complaints. The guys playing on deck a duo were playing music to put us to sleep.The fire works a highlight was a lowlight the cruise director told us to go to the Port side we could not see a thing we should have been on the starboard side even then the ship was in the wrong position. P+O had three ships in the harbour and they provided a barge with the Fireworks but they did not co ordinate the positioning of the ship in relation to viewing the barge (a complete stuff up) We could not see any of the Sydney fireworks despite the P+O promotional promises.

The cruise was expensive on a per night basis dearer than cruise we have taken Princess, Norwegian and Holland America.The value for money was terrible, the feeling in our group and others we spoke with was thatP+O were trying to gouge as many $$ out of us as possable. If you wanted some thing to eat other than meal times you had to pay. They confiscated our bottled water and 2 bottles of wne on other Carnival ships we have been allowed to bring 1 bottle of wine per head at each Port??
