We had cruised with Carnival before. Twice in the Mediterranean and last year in the Western Caribbean. We have always thought Carnival offered good value for our money and that was true on this cruise too.

First, the good: Staff was great. Room stewart Isaac, waiter Pray were exceptional. Blackjack dealers were helpful and friendly. Everywhere, the staff we encountered were smiling and friendly. Jamie was a wonderful cruise director. The food was very good and there were lots of options. It was clean. The 2 adult comedy shows we saw were very funny. Embarkation and debarkation went very smoothly.

The bad: my luggage was "misplaced" til the morning after we left Port Canaveral. We never went to the main show because people started lining up way before the show and the theater is too small for a ship with 3400 passengers. The inter -room phone system wasn't capable of leaving messages, which was a problem since we had friends several decks away. Read more
