Sail Date: Jan 2015
Cabin: Owner's Suite

I was in the Owner's suite room 1060 midship. I am not sure what is meant by priority boarding as we checked in at the regular desk and pointed in a direction. Had our welcome aboard pic made and pointed in a direction. Got to the entrance to the ship and NO ONE was there to give any directions or welcome us. Found our room on our own. My husband had ordered room decorations and eats; they were there but the letter on the table was from RCCL and never was there an acknowledgement note found indicating who left the treats!. Had I not known he was doing the special room deco I would have assumed RCCL had done that ( shame on whoever overlooked that detail) (we did tell our conceirge later about this but never received the written acknowledgment) Since expecting conceirge service to greet us but did not; we went to the conceirge lounge looking for him but no one was there. From there my group went to find where the lunch was being served...on other cruise lines there is a special dining from for suite holders so as not to fight the windjammer buffet lines but that is all that we found available. We ordered our own wines since asking if they knew our conceirge to no avail. Found the spa and made our own reservations since our conceirge was not in sight. Made it back to our suite; then after a while our conceirge appeared. He gave us a quick and brief run down on what basically was on the list that I can read. In our conceirge's defense. He did contact us by email prior to our trip. We were able to find out which nights are formal nights and made our dinner reservations accordingly prior to our cruise. On other cruise lines I have had a more personal contact with the conceirge. Phone voice mails are not the same as having the person come and physically see if all is well and to check if anything is needed. Our cabin person handled many of our issues. And the hours to find him were 8-noon and 5-8 in the lounge. However, if you are gone on excursions, the morning time is not feasible to catch him. When I called the number he left us to call there was never an answer or even a way to leave a voicemail.

Only on the 2nd night did we learn that the Vortex lounge was available to us for complimentary drinks and on day 6 did we know that we had access to the spa's showers and saunas at anytime. Attention to details at the suite level is what I had expected and it was not there in the form as I have experienced on other cruise lines. Our conceirge was very polite, friendly, and took care of what we needed after we found him. Someone should have been there the first moment of arrival to share ALL THE INFO

Pictures should not taken in limited hours. Other cruise lines the pictures begin around 5:30 and are continuous til around 10:00 not on the break schedule RCCL has

Owner's Suite

Cabin OS

Cabin is VERY conveniently located near midship elevators. Room is spacious. However, very limited electrical outlets. Bring the European adapters and that will give you 4 outlets 3 on the bedroom vanity if you unplug the clock and one by the table near the sofa if you unplug the lamp. There is a coffee pot on the bar area but no plug. Go figure. The beds in bedroom are king or singles your choice. The sofa is like two beds together and will not separate. It slept 4 of us comfortably once we figured out a bath schedule there is NO half bath in this suite. LOTS of storage for your belongings!
