We are first time Norwegian Cruise Line cruisers, but have cruised on many other lines. Overall, we felt the ship design was tacky and cartoonish, layout of the ship brought out claustrophia in people who didn't know they were, and the smoke smells all over the ship were nauseating. The ship is enormous, but only because about 95% of the ship are cabins. Public spaces were "tiny" for 4,000 people and you had to fight for a seat or arrive an hour or earlier just to play an activity, which were few and far between.

Most NEGATIVE Comment we have is: The smoke smell all over the ship is disgusting. There are only three decks (6, 7, & 8) that you can walk on inside and only run about 150 feet each way for walking. The decks are open in the middle and the smell from the casino, outside "Waterfront" area bar smoking, and smoking section taking up a large section of the pool deck made it absolutely impossible to walk anywhere without walking through or having to smell smoke blowing on you. We also smelled smoke on our Balcony as well.

Reservations - Get Ready. From the time you book your cruise, get ready to make all your dining reservations at whatever restaurant you want for each evening or you might not get into the restaurant you want or end up waiting over an hour in line. Get ready to make your entertainment reservations because the main theatre only hold about 400-600 people (for a ship of 4,000!) Get ready to how your sea card every time you want to have breakfast, lunch and dinner or if you simply want a snack...oh, and to show your sea card your entertainment and shows that you had to previously book.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Smaller than average room. Small balcony. Only 3 feet wide to accommodate two small chairs and small table to sit drinks on.
