This was my 55th cruise, but only my 3rd cruise on Princess. We arrived at the pier around 11am and quickly found the Preferred Check in Line and were quickly checked in. We were directed to a lady at a round table to get a boarding card. She looked at out Cruise Cards and handed us a number 6, which we objected to since we were in a full suite. She told us to go sit in the green chairs. My husband found someone else in the terminal and she directed us to the Elite Lounge to wait and said we should have been given one of the boarding cards for the lounge, but invited us in without them. She said we would board at 11:30am and at 11:30 on the dot she escorted us to the gangway.

We went straight to our cabin and put our bags down and went to see which dining room they were using for the sit down embarkation luncheon. The first dining room we tried was closed, so I picked up the phone by the elevator and called Guest Services. The girl who answered the phone flat out lied and said the only lunch option was on the Lido. We found an employee down in the piazza who directed us to the dining room that was open. We had a nice lunch and then explored the ship.

The safety drill was easy as our muster station was in Club Fusion. It did seem kind of ridiculous to have to bring the life jacket, but they made everyone put them on to make sure that they knew how. At least we did not have to go out on deck in the cold, as we have done on RCCL. They did scan the cruise cards to take attendance.

Cabin Review

Cabin VS

Cabin C 751 as one of the more spacious interiors of the Vista Suites. The interior of the cabin was actually larger than the PH we had last year. The bathroom is definitely larger, especially the room containing the toilet and sink. The desk next to the bed was quite long and there was a cabinet and row of drawers at the end. The desk in the living room area was also very long. We had more than enough drawer space and there were plenty of wooden hangers for all our clothes for a 7 night cruise. The room Steward, Aldwin, was excellent. The cabin was always cleaned by the time we returned from breakfast.
