Overall, we had a good time on Princess--this was my first Princess cruise, but I have cruised other lines before. The ship seemed "cut up" and not laid out very well to us. We found both the food and entertainment to be disappointing compared to Royal Caribbean. The food choices were limited and not very tasty, with a few exceptions like the lobster and roast. Dessert were not all that great. The Singers and Dancers were fine, but they need updated costumes (you could see entire sections where sequins were missing, etc..) and the individual special performers were not as exciting as we'd like. In fact, we left after two songs on one performer.
Emerald Princess has been refurbished, but probably has still seen her better days, as you just can't fix the layout of this ship--so chopped up.
The room was adequate and just what we expected. Everything was clean. We asked for more hangers (20) and quickly received them. The view was not completely bad, we could see the water and tell what the weather was doing. The curtains open left the room seeming bigger.
