Sail Date: Jan 2015

This was our first cruise. We were a younger age group than most of the other passengers. I am a 50 year old Single Mom & traveled with Twin 29 year old Daughters to celebrate our birthdays.

The ship was clean and definitely serviceable. It is beginning to show a little age around the edges. The decor is a somewhat dated (carpeting & Main Dining Rooms especially). The seats in the Stardust Theatre are uncomfortably low and do not offer a deep seat/leg room. The Crew/Staff that passengers interact with is mostly Indonesian and VERY polite/courteous. Top Notch Wait Staff & Stewards.

The On-board Entertainment was just so-so and no "Meet & Greet" or specific activities were offered to our age demographics. Our Cruise Director, Bobby, was outstanding and tried his absolute best to make sure that the passengers had a good time. We just needed to clone him and the "Dawn Dancers". They were the energy on the ship but we just did not see enough of them. They seemed stretched pretty thin. Maybe twice as many dancers would allow them the opportunity to mingle in the clubs, make the "White Out" and other On-Deck Night activities come to life. Of course, if there had been a Meet & Greet for the younger set these parties might have come alive on their own. The best Nightlife on this particular cruise was the Husband/Wife Singing Team of "Twice as Nice". Their large book of music and nice vocals lit up every night in the Atrium. I spent most evenings there listening to both of their shows, unless I was at the main show in the Stardust Theatre.

Cabin Review

Cabin 01

Good View out of the Large Bay Window. Great if you are feeling a little motion sickness as you can see the motion of the water and that helps keep a visual with is going on in your head. This cabin is Portside and you have a great view of the port on entry and exit of the harbor and while docked. Clean stateroom but the carpet is showing its age with a dated decor feeling. Some of the doors/drawers are showing signs of wear and tear. Excellent steward that had maintenance repair the items that I pointed out that needed attention. Good size Shower & Toilet/Sink Areas. Cabin is located beneath the Ship's Casino and at 3am every night you could hear the staff vacuuming the Casino Floor and re-arranging of the chairs, etc. The noise was not too loud but definitely woke me up on the first two nights of the cruise until I realized what was going on and then anticipated it.
