I had high hopes for this cruise as my husband as well as my Dad had been on multiple cruises and raved about the excitement, activities and overall fun. I am 37 and my husband is 44. It did not take long (figured it out during the safety drill) that we were probably the youngest on this ship by a solid 30 years. However, I still was excited for the formal nights and activities.

We received the Princess Patter newsletter at our cabin and it lists the daily activities. The activities listed included: Bridge, shuffleboard, intro to steel drums, book club, LGB meet ups, single cruisers meet ups, etc. There was nothing for 30-50 year olds to meet up with other people in the same age group. I began searching the ship for magazines to read and was told they don't sell magazines. Basically, you can lay around the deck and get some sun, go to the fitness center or stay in your cabin and watch movies. Due to the lack of entertainment geared toward our age group, we ended up watching movies in our cabin at night.

Formal night...........I had envisioned large round tables in a fabulous ballroom. Nope! You throw on a cocktail dress and go to the same restaurants you eat at any other night and have the option to eat alone or with others. There was no special entertainment in the restaurants on these nights, just everyone was dressed a tad bit better.

The cabin was very nice and our steward was amazing. Considering we spent so much time in the cabin, I thank the Lord it was so nice.
