Embarkation was a breeze. Through the long lines and on the ship in 25 minutes. Found the ship to be clean and in good shape, especially considering her age. The public spaces were attractive. Crew and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Fitness room is very small. The Solarium functioned as a retirement center with plenty of bridge games going and walkers/electric scooters all lined up. Love this size ship--easy to navigate and the public spaces are just right.

Food in the windjammer was fine. Mostly OK in the MDR for dinner but the "steak diane" was absolutely unedible. Our waiter "recommended it"--last time we'll take that recommendation! We only ate in the MDR for breakfast once. Usually we got our coffee from Lattitudes, then to WJ for juice and breakfast to take back to our room. Our cabin was SUPER convenient to everything--just two decks up from our room to WJ, pool and pool bar, and down to the Schooner Bar. Usually the WJ is aft so having it forward was a real plus for us.

Went to Chef's Table twice. Excellent experience. Went to Chops twice--also nice. It was curious that in both cases, the meal later in the week was much better. Curious. Went to Chops Champagne Lunch--very good. LOTS of food--more than we could eat for lunch. The galley tour was informative and eye opening.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Room was nice. Practically lived on the balcony. You can see the open bridge from the balcony. Bed is near the bathroom. Flat screen TV, refrigerator (I heard many people complain they did not have one). Had a bad sewer smell the first few days but the room steward and maintenance took care of it quickly. Shower curtain in bathroom. Lots of room for storage in the room. The couch is a hide a bed. Convenient to WJ and pool area. Very quiet, dead end hallway. This is our preference as no late night traffic.
