Suffice it to say, I would travel this ship, this itinerary again. We flew in on Friday to FLL and hired a car into Miami to stay at Intercontinental Downtown on Chopin Way. It was wonderful with a great price. The car we hired at the airport (FLL) for $90 (including tip). Arriving at the I-C we were pleasantly surprised that we were upgraded to a suite and enjoyed every minute of it. Budget in eating at Toro Toro in the Hotel if you can - it was so good.

Embarkation on Saturday was great. We arrived at POM at approximately 10:00 am and after a bit of a delay for all boarding we were onboard and in our stateroom by 1:30 pm I would say. I people watch and of course just about everyone was in a good mood so the time passed quickly. We had a Meet and Greet for Cruise Critic/FB peeps at the Aft Bar. It was a wonderful turnout and continued to be fun all week with meetings on and off with everyone. Muster was in Ovation and uneventful and quick ... Sail Away was stunning from "our spot".

Our stateroom/cabin was 10205 on Lido and described as "an interior with a walk away view". I hate to say it but we will always look for this cabin and it's availability when I book from now on. Outside our cabin door was the first door to the balcony that ran across the front of the ship on Lido Deck and as far as we're concerned .. the place to begin and end your day in port. The room was huge for the two of us .. our Steward "Soni" was beyond kind and caring. Also "India" who worked along side him. Always a greeting always a smile and our room was kept spotless and "iced". The were the best we've ever had on a cruise.

Cabin 4J

Our stateroom/cabin was 10205 on Lido and described as "an interior with a walk away view". I have to say it, we've always booked balcony cabins and mostly aft with extended balconies - but we will always look for this cabin and it's availability first when I book from now on. With smoking not allowed now, my husband still does, a balcony isn't worth the expense really. Well unless you're doing the Panama Canal or Alaska I guess. This also was a first for us on Lido Deck, oh we loved it, and Steve only had to walk up a flight of stairs to be able to smoke (port side on Deck 11). Outside our cabin door was the first door to the balcony that ran across the front of the ship on Lido Deck and as far as we're concerned .. the place to begin and end your day in port. The room itself was huge for the two of us .. our Steward "Soni" was beyond kind and caring. Also "India" who worked along side him. Always a greeting always a smile and our room was kept spotless and "iced". They were the best stewards we've ever had on a cruise. We had no noise from any outside source - our bed "rocked" but it was soothing to us. I didn't feel it was any rougher at the front of the ship than any other part. I was afraid it might so I decided to take Bonine but stopped that after about 3 days and had no problem whatsoever. If you're on the fence about taking this category cabin ... I say grab it ;) :)
