Having just read some awful reviews of the Grandeur, I don't know what ship they were on, but it couldn't have been the same one we sailed.
We have sailed in Dec., Jan. or Feb. every year for about the past ten years and this was the cruise with the least amount of turbulence we have ever experienced.
It was our first time aboard the Grandeur and our first time in an inside cabin. My husband loved that it was so dark at night, but I found it a little dark during other times. We were in a "large" inside and other experienced inside cruisers told us that these were the smallest inside cabins of almost any ship in the RCI fleet. Doing a back to back and driving to the port caused me to greatly over-pack, but we found room for everything in the various drawers and by hanging things in the closet. Our room attendant, James, made sure we had plenty of hangers. One criticism is the fact that suitcases don't fit under the beds on this ship although someone later told us that if you lift up the bed, they will go under. We just stowed them in corners around the room which made for a bit of clutter. We were fortunate that we did not have a chair besides the vanity chair. We just had a small table in the room which was perfect for our ice bucket. We had a great location just forward of mid-ship convenient to the elevator and centrum.
Kind of small, but we found room for all of the stuff I packed and over-packed.
