My wife and I went on Diamond Princess for a 12 day cruise from Sydney to New Zealand. We wanted a real relaxing holiday. We were not terribly interested in the ports that we visited as we had been to all the major cities before. However, despite some bad weather, we enjoyed the ports in which we berthed. We did not do any day trips from the ship but did our own thing.

We have been on Princess, Holland America and Celebrity cruises previously. Each does something a little better or a little worse than the others. Hence, it is not really valulable to nit pick about small things as people seem to do.

It was a very good itinerary and many people from overseas enjoyed things that we take for granted like koalas and kangaroos that they saw on their trips. It was nice to have non Aussies to talk to and was somewhat of a surprise.

Good, quiet cabin. Would choose it again.
