Having already travelled with Thomson on several cruises as a couple over the years, we decided to book with them along with our son, his partner and 20-month old daughter. We have previously booked online for all holidays but as we were taking our young granddaughter decided to book through an agent to ensure that we booked the right cruise for a child of her age. The rep assured us that Thomson catered for such young children including amenities and play areas. I have never felt the need to write a review before but feel compelled to do so on this occasion to warn other families considering taking toddlers on the Dream to be aware of the following: No baby-changing facilities in ANY of the toilets on the ship, we were forced to change the baby on the toilet floor or on a changing mat on a sun lounger- completely degrading and humiliating - especially as the majority of passengers showed no compassion and simply looked down their nose at you. No child-friendly safe play areas on any of the decks, enclosed areas were for sun beds only, obviously more important to Thomson than providing a bit if space for toddlers to play in. The only pool for babies was located next to the adult only pool on a deck away from the family pool and jacuzzis, this made us the focal point for all people by the adult pool who assumed that the whole area was for adults only and spent the whole time watching and moaning about our granddaughter having fun in the baby pool. By the end of the week we couldn't wait to get off the ship, we were made to feel like we had grown 2 heads! ! The kids club stated that only children from the age of 3 were allowed to use the facilities and it wasn't until the 5th day out of desperation for some normality, that we thought we might as well ask if there was any chance that we could use the facilities we were told that was fine as long as we were there. Had we been aware of any of these facts at the time of booking (last July) we would most definitely not have booked with Thomson. We are very disappointed and although have been customers of Thomson's for many years will be booking with other companies in the future.

Thomson nightmare not dream!
