12 nights on the Norwegian Breakaway was a great way to start the year.

The ship is amazing. The decor is not overstated.

I loved that the ship is so big, this just made me think more, learning my way around. My only criticism is the location of the casino. Since it is mid ship on deck 7, it is open to decks 6 & 8. The smell of stale cigarettes was always present . Very unpleasant, not to mention unhealthy secondhand smoke. I hope they reconsider this design since I know many passengers disliked the odors. Nevertheless, I loved everything else about the Breakaway. The size of the ship meant a lot of walking which helped offset the amount of food one can eat! But hey, my vacation meant a hiatus from everyday life, including my normally healthy eating routine. Every meal we had was fantastic, especially at Le Bistro (specialty restaurant) & Le Cirque show. The staff is wonderful, everyone went out of their way to help your cruise experience was first rate. The entertainment was the best I've ever seen, including other NCL ships. I've seen Burn The Floor on Broadway and the dancers onboard were from the same production company. We loved the "Oh What A Night" show & the juggler (he placed in the top 5 on America's Got Talent4 a few years back). Le Cirque is a must see. There is so much to do, you never get bored. If they relocate the casino the ship will be perfect! I would love to sail on the Breakaway again. It was a wonderful cruise.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

The balcony cabin had plenty of storage. The bathroom is ample in size. The balcony is a bit smaller than other ships, yet it fit 2 chairs & a small table, more than adequate for our needs. Saw 3 rainbows from our balcony, sunsets & sunrises. The bed & pillows were very comfortable.
