4th cruise on NCL was by far the worst. Small cabins (much smaller than Carnival, Holland America or even other NCL ships), staff marginally hospitable and the food offerings leave a lot to be desired. Entertainment is good and it is easier than ever to make reservations for each show...it is just a little tedious to keep track of what shows you reserved as there is no accurate summary available except taking a trip to the service desk to get one. Ports were good. St Kitts was the winner by far. St. Lucia the loser especially when the police at the dock was warning people not to travel alone...even to public beaches.

Overall the value is not there. NCL has made the experience like one big infomercial, making sure you knew how much the Breakaway cost and making it equally obvious that they were going to try to get their money back at every turn. It is very off putting, especially while on vacation where you are trying to get it away from it all. Dining room hosts selling tables, special food orders not fulfilled on numerous occasions - even though the NCL rep who sold us the cruise GUARANTEED there would be no issues - and a staff that was the least hospitable that I have dealt with on any cruise line. The only exception was our cabin steward, always smiling, always accommodating and always a great attitude.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B3

Small cabins - especially for a "Family Balcony". Fortunately I was able to book to adjoining rooms so a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) could live comfortably. Balcony is very small as well, barely room for two people.
