Not the luxury "pampered" cruise I was hoping. Was expecting this to be another class of cruise, on top of everything else I did but it wasn't. Not better than Carnival or NCL.
The ship itself was great and in good shape for it age, but it doesn't have any "wow" factor that I've seen onboard other ships. The Summit is pretty classic with nothing be too much impressed. No nice atrium like Carnival or RCCL.
Food: Nothing to call home about. Really that didn't impress us. Sometime in the MDR food was cold or at room temp at best. Even had raw lobster that I had to return to the waiter. That even got me sick at night. But we had great service from the sommelier filling our wine glasses without asking. I was impressed.
The cabin with odd-shape balcony was great. Nothing to complain about, maybe expect the balcony door that was hard to open (need some jigaloo). Our room steward Melvin did a great job. We were lucky, he gave us concierge-class breakfast menus for everyday and we really appreciated this nice touch. Had eggs and bacon and such almost everyday.
