The ship is definitely a WOW. Having free WIFI was wonderful. It actually worked well. All of the art work throughout the ship was lovely, imaginative, and creative. I won’t say any more as you must see for yourselves.

Dynamic Dining worked well for us as we had reservations for all 12 nights. I did spend a lot of time making these reservations as it took 5 different schedules to coordinate with the shows which also required reservations. We always waited less than 5 minutes for a table each night. We were with another couple and always had a table for four and never shared. Each of the complimentary restaurants had a reservation line and a line for those with no reservations. We ate in all 4 complimentary restaurants plus Chops & Devinely Decadence which became completely no fee for all meals. During the cruise the restaurants added a special each night in addition to their regular menu which never changed. We enjoyed most dinners, found the portions large, rarely covered with mystery sauce, and usually served hot. I had to send back only one dinner when it arrived as it was not what I expected (chicken marsala). As we are not picky eaters, we always found something we liked. The waiters were eager to help when someone had a special request. The Grande was my favorite and American Icon my least favorite. I did not care for Devinely Decadence—lunch was OK, but I did not like breakfast at all & found the food to be too salty. The Windjammer was large, wonderful, and had stations again similar to Celebrity. The cookie station was the BEST with warm freshly baked cookies (my favorite).

Crew-despite comments in reviews, we found the crew to be very friendly and eager to chat. Most came from other RC ships mostly Oasis or Allure, but do not expect to stay on the Quantum when it goes to China. Some have no idea where they will go; others expect to be on the Anthem. The CD was rarely visible except for the shows.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Our cabin a D-1 on deck 8 was on the hump and near elevators. This cabin was a great location, had an extra- large balcony, and was spacious with 7 drawers, 2 closets, & 2 bins above the bed. The desk did not have a drawer which would have been nice. The nightstands were narrow with only shelves, no drawers. This cabin was similar to Celebrity Solstice class cabins. The safe was in one of the closets at eye level, but was smaller than others we have had on other ships. The bath also was similar to those on Celebrity with a large vanity which had a raised sink. There were 3 open shelves for toiletries. The shower also was large with a glass door.
