This was our first time to do the cruise thing! We love to travel and go to Mexico frequently each year but hadn't jumped on ship yet. We honestly had a great time! I had gotten the cruise for my boyfriend for Christmas and he lives his life based on reviews. So after reading up in the Triumph he was very hesitant to say the least. I did tons of research for what to pack and what to do and it paid off! We loved it and will keep doing them. We're from Houston so it's too easy and a good price to not.

I purchased the 'Faster to Fun' and it was a breeze getting on the boat. Didn't have to wait in a single line & our room was ready when we got on. Our bags were close behind.

We let Carnival choose our balcony room since it was our first time cruising. We were on the Lido deck (9) in room 9261 w/ balcony. The room was larger than we had expected. 2 big enough closets and one with the safe and some extra storage space. Plenty of room under the bed to put our suitcases. Bathroom was a good size. Don't expect good water pressure in the shower. Really wish they would replace the TVS.. those things are OLD and bad! No hallway noise and we were right off from the main elevators. We used the beds as a King and were surprised the comfort! Balcony is great for morning coffee and just enjoying the ocean breeze and view! Perfect for 2 people but not much more than that! We packed waters and a larger cooler and they kept it full of fresh ice every day. Read more
