  3. Regal Princess
We cruise each year at the same time. We chose Regal Princess because it was new and larger than what we had cruised in the past. It is a beautiful ship but that's where it stops. With a few exceptions the crew was rude and the service poor. It did seem that Platinum cruisers and suite holders were treated well. We had four young adults in our group and they were treated poorly the entire time. Apparently there were issues on the Christmas cruise with minors over drinking and they decided to correct the problem on our cruise. Despite the cruise card having your photo and id on it they required our party to carry additional id proving they were 21 or over. One of the crew slapped my daughter on the arm as she walked through the casino and demanded she show her id. Comments were made to the Cruise Director and he did what he could but you cannot change orders or attitude over night. The food in the main restaurant was poorly prepared and one of our party had food poisoning. The restaurant was notified but took no action. No one from the medical office inquired or took any action. The food in the specialty restaurants was outstanding but gaining a reservation is very difficult. Needless to say we will not return to Princess cruise lines. I filled out the Princess evaluation and mentioned everything I have said here. There was no response from them. If you have travel Princess and receive upgrades because you are Platinum/Gold/Silver etc., or spend triple the money for a suite, you may receive service and food that worthy of return. But if your looking to enjoy a family holiday go somewhere else.

Only if you don't want a good time.
