Cruising out of Singapore Dec. 29th with my wife over the new year's eve to Kuala Lumpur for 5 nights. Having cruised with RCL before on board of the Allure, Oasis, Independence & Serenade, I was eagerly looking forward to this sailing & didn't mind paying extra for it, hoping for a memorable experience. Check in process & the cruise terminal are all good & efficient. Once on board, we moved up to Windjammer for lunch. I like the way they manage the drink stations by keeping the fellow guests away from the equipment. They also have staff manning all the food stations inside & out to keep things orderly at all time. The place could get busy at times throughout the cruise as is the case with any other cruise lines, but nothing too unbearable in my opinion. Breakfast is the same every morning, so it can get a bit boring after a few days. The rest of the food in the buffet is the usual RCL standard.

Considering the age of the ship, the design is quite good & it definitely has been properly maintained. I love the free sauna/steam bath/huge hot tube in the gym area. The only thing that shows the age is all the older gym equipment with several treadmills making some weird noise/not working & the seat rollers seizing up on the leg press, just to name a few. One thing that caught me by surprise was the permitted smoking up on the pool deck, a HUGE turn off for me.

The luggage was already waiting for us when we got to the cabin just after 1 pm. The cabin is good except for the mattress which is a bit too thin or just worn out. I overheard other cabins nearby were having constant issues with plumbing & hvac system. The cabin steward Magaldo did a good job for us.
