Christmas Cruise. I guess I should have known better but this cruise had 2,000 children on it. That's an actual number not an exaggeration. Almost no activities for adults. In a few of the lounges, after 9:30,PM you could listen to someone play the piano. We did not rock climb, flow board, ice skate, play in the arcade or any of the other activities designed for children so for the most part, we stayed in our room and read. There was not a chance of getting a seat by the pool or in the hot tubs during daylight hours. The dining rooms were not open for lunch so that left the cafeteria and you would have stand and wait for a seat being careful not to slip on food that had dropped on the floor. The ship does have many options for you to buy your meals. The architecture of the ship is truly beautiful. The library is a joke. There were fifty books in the English language, that includes all genre. The absurdity of it all was brought to a point when we got on the elevator with a gang of adolescents, spitting and laughing. They were having a great time, us...not so much.
Stateroom was lovely and quite adequate. We were on the 2nd level which was the most convenient level to be on. Quite happy with that and also quite pleased with our stateroom attendant.
